Funny thing is, there is a kind of harbour on the other side of this fence, a little further out. The only way to get to that area (beyond the fence) was through a narrow opening into a walkway, then there were steps, so it was impossible for me to take my mobility scooter through to the sea. All around the fence you see is a small fishing village, and yes the houses are very typical and quaint. As the owners of the houses were out in their front gardens, I felt too uncomfortable to actually take photos of them although they're probably quite used to it by now. (I'm very sensitive about that sort of thing and don't like to seem to impose on other people's private lives.)
